Duration

The online training takes approximately 1.5 hours. In addition to theoretical instruction, it includes a final exam to verify participant competence. This is a basic-level (Level 1) training.

What is Diisocyanate Training?

According to a decision by the European Commission, the use of diisocyanates requires training in line with REACH regulation restrictions. The aim of this training is to prevent health risks caused by diisocyanates and increase workplace safety.

Diisocyanate training is mandatory for all employees who handle or may be exposed to these substances at work. This includes not only those directly working with the chemicals, but also their supervisors, lab staff, maintenance and cleaning personnel, as well as occupational safety representatives and specialists. External contractors and subcontractors working in areas where diisocyanates are used must also complete the training.

This training is crucial, as improper handling of diisocyanates can cause serious health issues, such as skin irritation, breathing difficulties, and allergic reactions. Comprehensive training helps workers adopt safe working practices and exposure prevention methods. This reduces the risk of accidents and protects employee health.

The content covers all necessary information and practical instructions for safe handling. The training is based on Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1149, added to the REACH Regulation (EU 1907/2006). According to this regulation, industrial and professional use of diisocyanates without training is prohibited. This ensures that all workers are aware of safety practices and know how to act in hazardous situations.
