Both qualifications are delivered entirely online and meet all regulatory requirements. The qualification is based on the Act on Plant Protection Products (1563/2011, Section 10) and entitles the holder to engage in the professional sale, purchase and use of plant protection products.

The qualification demonstrates competence in the safe handling and use of plant protection products, as well as mastery of the key topics covered by the training programme (MMMa 6/2012). Furthermore, the qualification covers the competence requirements set out in Annex I to EU Directive 2009/128/EC.

A person who has completed the qualification:

• Complies with the requirements of the Plant Protection Products Act (1563/2011, Section 10)
• Entitles the holder to sell, purchase and use plant protection products for professional use
• Demonstrates competence in the safe handling and use of substances
• Also meets the competence requirements of EU Directive 2009/128/EC

The qualification is based on official requirements (MMMa 6/2012), and its content corresponds to the key areas of competence in the field.
