SFS 6002 First Aid Training

This six-hour training course provides comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in electrical safety and the management of emergency situations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of competence in accordance with the SFS 6002 standard, which is valid for five years.

This training is suitable for anyone working in the electrical sector, studying the subject, or working in the vicinity of electrical installations. It is also ideal for supervisors, maintenance specialists, designers and members of the public who wish to enhance their safety knowledge.

The trainers are paramedic Henna and electrical power engineer Helena Orasvuo, who has decades of experience in training.

Course objectives

The SFS 6002 first aid training course combines the key aspects of electrical safety and emergency first aid into a single comprehensive programme.

The aim is to ensure that participants:

• understands the dangers of electricity and knows how to act safely
• is able to carry out the first aid procedures required in an emergency
• is able to prevent accidents and respond effectively in the event of an accident
• meets the qualification requirements of the Electrical Safety Act and the SFS 6002 standard

• First aid for an unconscious person
• Basic life support for adults and the use of a defibrillator
• Foreign body in the airways
• Wounds, bruises and stopping bleeding
• Shock and first aid for shock
• Head injuries and concussion
• Soft tissue injuries

• Action in the event of road traffic accidents

Delivery and accreditation of the training

The course is delivered online, allowing you to study flexibly at your own pace. Upon successful completion, you will receive the SFS 6002 Electrical Safety Card, which serves as official certification for working in the electrical sector.

The card is valid for five years, and renewal requires that the training be updated.
